WELCOME TO THE TYONEK GATHER MARKETPLACE!
Tyonek Tribal Conservation District (TTCD) and Native Village of Tyonek (NVT) have been working closely to bring Alaskan-grown foods to Tyonek! Thanks to grant funding from the USDA, we will be offering all foods at no (or minimal) cost through 2025. By ordering local food through the marketplace, you're helping us establish a food supply chain so we can continue to provide a variety of healthy, locally-grown food to the Tebughna community!

Each week we will be listing a variety of items for pick-up that will be available at the Food Cellar (behind the Tribal Center). We will begin distributions in winter of 2024 when the Farmers Market closes. This year, we hope to offer winter vegetables, meat, flour, fish and more!

What is Local Food Purchasing Assistance (LFPA) Plus?
Tyonek Gather is a collaborative effort started by TTCD and NVT who received a Local Food Purchase Assistance (LFPA) grant from the USDA to distribute food from local/regional producers at no cost to the Tyonek community!
The purpose of the LFPA Plus program is to maintain and improve food and agricultural supply chain resiliency. The grant allows tribes to procure and distribute local and regional foods and beverages that are healthy, nutritious, unique to their geographic areas and that meet the needs of the population. In addition to increasing local healthy food consumption, the funds will help build and expand economic opportunity for local and underserved producers.
In order to make the best use of these funds, Tyonek Gather has been created as an aggregator and online marketplace to distribute foods to Tyonek while allowing residents to have a choice over what foods they want their household to recieve. While LFPA funding will allow us to trial and establish supply chains to increase access to Alaskan-grown foods, we hope to continue this distribution model after the funding cycle has expired.
